Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Tom Ford chose to keep his S/S 2011 collection a secret, giving the public just a sneak peak of the collection in Vogue and through leaked pictures in the New York Times after an very intimate show during New York Fashion Week in September.
The reason for all this hush-hush being that Ford was tired of pictures of the new collections prematurely circulating in the media and celebrities wearing the new designs months before their debut.

Sneak Peak: Spring 2011 Ad Campaign From A|X Armani Exchange

This campaign – poised to break in all forms of national media in February — was styled by fashion icon, Elle Magazine's Style Director,
Kate Lanphear and was shot on location at Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California, the site of the annual Coachella Music Festival.

Music is a huge part of Armani Exchange's DNA, and Lanphear made sure that her styling reflected the soul of the brand. The campaign's message explodes with the attitude of youthful optimism and glamorous defiance, and its style reflects the modern influence of season-less, festival-chic dressing.

Designer Alexander MxQueen found dead

International fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his London home this morning, this according to a spokesperson for his company.

There are reports claiming McQueen took his own life -- but so far, an official cause of death has not been released.

The 40-year-old designer often designed outfits for Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Prince Charles.

A rep from McQueen's office just released a statement saying, "At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with [McQueen's] family."

McQueen was due to present his Fall 2010 collection TODAY as part of New York Fashion Week.

Balmain Ad 2010

Looks like the military trend and broad shoulders are still going strong.
On another note, I've also been seeing embellished shoulders alot lately.

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target

I can't believe such high end designers are teaming up with cheaper clothing chains. On the plus side it will be available to us who don't want to give up a few months rent, just for 1 item.

The collection drops March 7th, 2010!

Sonia Rykiel for Asos- Parisian style

As soon as I saw Asos home page stating "Sonia Rykiels chic parisian style" I knew I had to take a peek. Images of Carrie Bradshaw in Paris somehow sprung to mind. And I'm glad they did.
I'm never one to fall in love with an entire line of clothing so this was an exception.

I was a bit dissapointed with the prices though. I mean, don't get me wrong, the clothes itself are adorably chic. Lots of bright pops of pinks/reds and elegant stripes. But sadly the items aren't very affordable at all unless you have extra cash to blow (or have a really really generous Valentine's day boy toy mmmm? Just kidding. Sorta). The cheapest item is a sweet printed (white) tee with a pink cherry/smiley face... for a whopping $82. A girl can dream and gawk though right?

Here are my favorite picks:

Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2008/2009 Campaign

Yes! Miu Miu's newest ad campaign starring Vanessa Paradis is finally out for the world to see. The 35 yr old French singer has replaced Kirsten Dunst this season as the Miu Miu girl. Paradis looks gorgeous apart from the overload of blush and powder (sorry had to say it), but I guess it adds drama. I was able to peel my eyes away from that though and gush over the handbags..

Your thoughts on the campaign and bags/shoes?

Atelier Versace Fall 2008 Collection

The Atelier Versace Fall 2008 Collection reflects the season's accent on feminine style. These fabulous evening gowns were designed with dipped backs alongside draped, ruffled or printed fabric and panel pleats.
Most designers choose to show off their gowns by appointment only, which is understandable, but thanks to frillr.com, we get to drool and judge the collection of Donatella's creations, as modeled by Georgina Stojilkovic.
