New Sightings At Forever 21

It seems like Forever 21 is forever expanding the range of products they carry. Now I know, I know their quality isn't exactly the best, sometimes not even mediocre, but it's a good way to get your trend fix without breaking the bank. Alot of their items also do hold up for a few years if you take care of them (denim, shorts, jackets and jewelry are all things I've had good experiences with).

Lately they've moved past clothing and are also carrying little "trinkets" and organizers and these look like things where you can't really go wrong when it comes to quality.

Here are a few that really caught my eye and might be worth taking a look at:

Polka Dot Hello Kitty Tissues $1.80

Nail Lacquers $2.80
They have a rather large color selection compared to cheap brands like Wet N Wild, so I'm really interested in picking these up.

Glossy Striped Cosmetic Bag $4.80

Lacquered Rose Jewelry Stand $15.80

Handheld Sewing Machine $8.80
I have a sewing machine but am really tempted to try this out, for sewing hemlines. Do you think it's worth the try?

Have you picked up anything out of the ordinary from Forever21 lately?

Trend: Ropes & Tassles

Ropes and tassles have been used for adding details, but now they're taking center stage! Nothing screams 'Greek Godess' more then gold ropes.

Trend: Black & Gold Jewelry

One of my new fashion addictions is a result of color combinations. You know that song “Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa? Ok well this is somewhat like that: black and gold...on my jewelry. I love, love, love how the two look together!
It kind of gives the black a surprising pop that you wouldn’t expect. It also adds a touch of class to any ensemble. Black has always been sleek and sexy while gold is classy. Put them together and what you get is perfection.

I’ve had trouble looking for pieces in stores but definitely much more luck online. Check out some of these pieces I found in ShopNBC’s selection of gold jewelry. I especially love the white and charcoal jade ring as well as the faceted gem pendant, which would look great with anything. And what I love even more if how affordable these luxurious pieces are.

Trend: Belt Purses a.k.a. Fanny Packs

You read it right! After receiving numourous slanderings for their unattractiveness, fanny packs have evolved into a chic version of their former self and are now even gracing runways.
Do you think belt purses (a.k.a.) fanny packs are back in fashion? Or do they deserve to be thrown away with all their ugly old versions from the 90's?

Kim Kardashians Jewelry Line: Bella Noel

Just when you think Kim K is finished conquering the world she goes and creates a jewelry line. Belle Noel is an affordable collection of statement pieces and I'm the first to admit what a huge fan I am of the pieces!

"It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to have my own jewelry collection, so it was such an amazing opportunity and experience to sit down and create designs that I feel reflect my personal style, and a collection that is also varied and offers a little something for everyone. You guys know I love my statement jewelry pieces, so I wanted to create pieces that really stand out and make a statement, but most importantly, I wanted to make them affordable for everyone!" -Kim Kardashian

Some items need to be pre-ordered and ship a few weeks later (on Singer22.com)

Build Your Engagment Ring

If you've struggled with the thought of what your (or your future fiance's) ideal engagement ring will look like, I don't blame you. The possibilities are endless and choosing a ring is really a visual process.
For some it may be hard to picture shopping online for wedding rings, but Abazias (an online retailer of loose diamonds and jewelry settings for diamonds) offers an interactive application which comes as close to an in-store experience as you can get.

The Abazias Engagement Ring Builder allows you to customize your ring and determine your ideas price, clarity, size, color and shape as well as allowing you to see the list of matching diamonds and a realistic 3D preview.

So to test out the application, first I picked out the ring band, followed by my choice of diamond (price, shape, clarity, etc.) I found it rather simple to work with while still providing endless possibilities.

And this is what I came up with:

Etsy Favorites: Rings

Someone commented that they'd like to see more of a spotlight put on Etsy creations, and I agree! In case you weren't familiar with the site, Etsy is a social commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items as well as art and craft supplies.
Though there is sooooo much to sort thru, if you look around you're sure to find a few really cute and affordable items, that are unique. So I decided to start a new series specially dedicated to Etsy creations. What do you think about it? Do you ever browse the site?

I didn't go thru all tens and thousands of rings but instead just took a gander at the recent jewelry that was added.. Here are my current favorites:
Amethyst Gothic Revival Steampunk Ring $55

Lil Gold Rush Ring $95

Knockout $14

The Serpent $26
Elephant Ring Sterling Silver $26

Beer opener ring $20

Retro Textured Crystal Turtle Ring $8

Personalized Ring $34
(This is actually a really nice Valentine's day or Anniversary gift)

Accessorizing: 3 Basics Every Woman Needs

If there where one accessory I'd say every woman should own, it would be a pair of diamond studded earrings. Next to Swarovski crystals, diamonds remain celebrity's number one choice of "icing": they're elegant and glamorous. Plus, they always look incredible on anyone, at anytime.
Every girl feels like a princess when wearing a pair, and they add a touch of class to any outfit. Since studs tend to be simple, they'll match whatever you're wearing and even add glamour to a T-shirt and sweatpants. Plus the sparkle will bring out your face, eyes and smile.
The earring style depends on the wearers style. There's an abundancy to pick from since there are a variety of shapes and sizes available: big, small, triangle, square, round, teardrop, heart, etc.

Another must have for women are a nice pair of dark sunglasses. An oversized pair will give you that movie star appeal and best of all hide dark circles. They help you feel and look a bit more pulled together on days when you don't feel or look your best, help protect your eyes from the sun and prevent wrinkles due to squinting.

My last pick would be a classic necklace that will match anything and is a part of her. Whether it's a pearl necklace or a name-pendant (like the one Carrie Bradshaw is famous for). I love/need to switch up my accessories, but there's something very unique about having special pendant that symbolizes something. Whether it's a single stone on a delicate chain or a gothic cross, they are a great way of expressing oneself.

 What are your must haves?

Chic jewelry under $50

I saw these on Maxandchloe.com and wanted to share my favorite picks.
