Miley Cirus role in Sex And The City Movie 2

Miley Cyrus made a guest appearance in New York City on the set of the HBO shows movie: Sex And The City 2.

Though the Hanna Montana star doesn't have an actual speaking line in the film, alot of women seem to be upset that Miley Cyrus will even be in the film (mostly due to her recent image and tabloid stories involving the star).

Cyrus plays herself in the movie, and the scene she appears in takes place at a red carpet premiere of Smith Jerrod's (Jason Lewis) film "Heart of the Desert" where she has a run-in with Kim Cattrall's Samantha.
Miley's role will involve her wearing the same dress as Kim Cattrall, just differently accessorized.

Other rumored cameos include Penelope Cruz, Liza Minnelli and "Project Runway" mentor Tim Gunn. The movie comes out in May 2010.

Given the enormous box office success of “Sex and the City,” talk of a sequel is not surprising. And on Thursday HBO confirmed that Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are already at work on No. 2.
“There is enormous interest” by Warner Bros., Michael Lombardo, president of the HBO programming group, told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles. “And I think, in fact, they’re trying, with our help, to put that together now. When that happens, how long between, can’t say. But there’s absolutely interest.”
Mr. Lombardo said the producers and financiers were “really heartened” by the enthusiasm from fans.
A movie version of “The Sopranos” isn’t as certain, but if series creator David Chase is interested, then HBO is too.
“It’s obviously totally up to David,” Richard Plepler, the HBO president, said. “But if David wants to do it, we’d be delighted to explore that, absolutely.”

I think the general consensus is that if they're gonna come with a sequel, they better damn well have a good, no wait, GREAT plot. The story is pretty much "wrapped up." Big and Carrie finally tied the knot and got married. My bet is that she gets a baby (just as long as they don't take 5 years or more to make it). But what about the other characters.. Hmm...

But then I think "if the plot sucks, either way they will still sweep the fashion world with their trend setting ways."

SATC: Vintage Studded Belt For Less

It's pretty obvious this is THE belt of ALL studded belts right now- the vintage one Carrie Bradshaw wore several times thru out the Sex And The City Movie. Though many Ebay sellers are claiming otherwise, there aren't any other ones like this.
 But in case you're as bummed out as me about this, there's good news: soon you can own something close to the real deal thanks to Patricia Field, the Sex And The City stylist. Her boutique in New York is currently taking pre-orders for the replica belt, which is expected to be available in July (currently retailing for $120.) Patricia’s boutique is located at 302 Bowery above Houston Street in NYC.

Sex And The City: The Handbags

Well  I know you SATC-addicts are still shaking in your Manolo Blahniks after seeing the SATC movie.

One of the trends getting a lot of interest are the handbag(s) showcased in the movie.

Pour your Cosmos girls because I bring to you once again the adorable and trés chic Eiffel Tower bag by Timmy Woods which is selling for $450. And hey, if you ever get fed up of it, use it as an ornament. (Hint for those of you looking to buy it: I saw on a few sites available for a bit less).

The version shown in the movie is the Swarovski version as I'm sure you may have seen and it's available for a whopping $3000, incrusted with over 6300 crystals to be exact. I think it’s pretty reasonable if you compare it to the other designer bags being sold though.


I predict that this trend has started another explosive trend: handbags in the shape of objects, for instance the Marylin Monroe Phone and The Lips Purse seen here- both by Timmy Woods.

Sex And The City Movie Premier

The "Sex and the City" movie premiere was held yesterday in New York City at Radio City Music Hall. The movie opening is so close guys!!! (This weekend!)
The original motion picture soundtrack from the movie is available NOW!
It includes some Fergie, India Arie, Al Green & Joss Stone and even a bit of Jennifer Hudson.

One word.. Stunning!! I have to say though that Kristin Davis and Kim Cattralls dress are my faves.. What do you lovelies think?

A bit more of an inside scoop:
Fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker was flooded with more designer paraphernalia then you can even begin to envision. One mysterious fashion house even tried bribing the superstar to wear their label at the premiers — in return for dressing her son for life. Another offered around $4million worth of designer gear. And don’t you dare think they were the only ones.
So you can imagine her co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon were feeling major dress envy. The Mirror even has an article about the whole dress issue resulting in a spat.. where they even refused to share limo's. Meee-ow!

Extended Sex & The City Trailer

It dawned on me that I hadn't even added the Sex & The City EXTENDED trailer to this blog which came out around March 08.
To say though to those of you who want the plot to be be a surprise: don't bother watching. In a way I wish I didn't because it gives alot away (Grr.. I hate that!) but what can I say.. curiosity got the best of me... Also noted: no sign of Samantha's bf in there. :(

Oh well... Still can't wait!! Less then 2 weeks to go!!
