MAC Lipstick Review + Swatch: Fanfare

This is a lipstick I hardly ever hear mentioned by beauty bloggers. Fanfare is a permanent Creamsheen lipstick I bought back in December and never got around to swatching. During the same period I bought this, I also picked up NYX Tea Rose and to my surprise these are great dupes for each other.
I prefer the consistency of Mac's lipsticks 10 times over those of NYX lipsticks which feel more "greasy" on my lips and bleed easily.

In the tube it may look a bit boring, but by no means is this a nude, but it's more of a dusty rose color.
The consistency is moisturizing, creamy and highly pigmented without being matte.

MAC FANFARE SWATCH (No Flash):
(very true to color)

It's a great medium salmon pink color. However I don't find myself reaching for it all too often, since it's a bit too bright for my liking. It looks amazing just lightly dabbed on though.
I prefer this lipstick with light eye make-up and little to no blush, but I've seen other bloggers pair it with a dark glittery blue shadow, so it really depends on your preference.

LIP SWATCH (with flash):
(looks less coral in person and more pink)
