Over the years brows have really gotten alot of whole lot of attention. I would even go so far as to say that the second most important detail of someones face that needs to look flawless (after skin) are the brows!

On June 24th, Sigma added makeup back to it’s already awesome line up. If you remember a couple of years ago, Sigma introduced eyeshadow and blushes. Back then they weren't so popular, but this time around they brand really seems to have gotten things right.

Every season there's always a color that seems to take the spotlight. Whether it be nude, purple, navy blue or even.... NEON!

On Tuesday papparazzi's favorite young and in love couple, pop-sensations Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted shopping together late-afternoon at the A|X Armani Exchange store located on 51st and 5th Avenue in New York City. According to numerous onlookers, the couple strolled throughout the two-level store hand-in-hand, confessing "I love you" you to each other multiple times, showcasing a lot of public displays of affection.

What where Justin's new closet additions? Selena helped Justin pick-out a selection of A|X's simple and comfy Pima cotton T-Shirts ($25), both crew and v-neck, in grey and white.

Kim Kardashian and fiance Kris Humphries where spotted out in NYC strolling the streets. It's no doubt that colorblocking has been a trend since Spring 2011 and Kim's also jumped on the bandwagon: a lime green tunic dress with royal blue Guiseppe Zanotti lace up sandals and tan Chanel purse.

Though I'm a huge fan of the Kardashian's style, I'm gonna have to rate this outfit a thumbs down.

What do you guys think of Kim's look?

Sigma Make-up Brand New Cleansing And Polishing Tool

I was so excited when I read about the release of the new Sigma face cleanser, since I've been dying to try out the Clairisonic, but can't convince myself to pay the high price. Sigma Makeup has designed and today released their version of the Clarisonic Cleansing System at a fraction of the price!

Clarisonic's versions costs anywhere from $150 to $225 on the Sephora website. Sigma's only costs $39, which is something I'd have no problem spending.

The main difference between the Clairisonic vs Sigma cleanser is the head on the brush which spins/rotates while the head on the Clarisonic simply vibrates. The Sigma cleanser also comes with three interchangeable brush heads (soft, medium, and firm) and has it's own travel/storage case. It also works at two speeds, normal and high.

Today I'm excited to share with you my latest online find: "Bags Bonanza." In case you weren't aware, it's similar to eBay - where you will be able to buy and sell handbags - minus the bidding! Nothing is worse then yearning for a bag and either losing it to someone else or having to pay a higher price. Forever 21 Nailpolish Review + Swatch: Green

This is the first polish I picked up from Forever 21.

The shade I'll be reviewing today is "Green" ($2.80). On the Forever21 website I saw it labeled as "Olive Green":

This is a beautiful creme forest green shade, not olive green as the name may suggest. I've been searching for a similar color everywhere to add to my collection, even though this doesn't exactly scream Spring.

I got a few other polishes and will be reviewing. Some I liked, some I didn't, but I LOVE this nail polish!The consistency is a bit thick but:

It dries quick;
Only took 2 coats to receive an almost opaque coverage.

I don't think I'd change anything about this and it will also be of great use when Konad-ing.

If you like their polishes, I suggest ordering online since you get so much more variety. In stores you're likely to find just 10 shades at most.

Wedding Attire: Coordinating The Bridesmaids Dresses

Weddings are such a wonderful occasion, bringing up emotions of hope, happiness and new journeys. Planning them however...is a whole other story. Most girls have their wedding envisioned before they've attended their first prom, with ideas for the theme, dress (!), setting and honeymoon.

However, sorting out the bridesmaids dresses can be trickier, because everyone has their own opinions and differ in shape, size and height. A good compromise is to choose a color and material and let your bridesmaids pick their own styles so everyone is comfortable.

By buying from the same store or designer you avoid situations where one bridesmaid ends up with a chiffon dress, for example, and another bridesmaid has shiny sateen material or a darker color. New Sigma F80 Brush (Sigmax Collection) + Review

UPDATE: 6 weeks since I first used it and I'm still using it every single day! I just can't get over how QUICK and flawless this brush buffs in my foundation. I use it and have my foundation applied in less then 30 seconds.

Still high from my shoe shopping yesterday, I came home to find my Sigma package at home, sitting on the table. I eagerly tried ripping open the box and 3 minutes later I was holding the much talked about Sigma F80 brush! *insert angels singing* (FYI They have a discount coupon ending this week: STYLE2011 for 10% off and sales going on)

Sigma describes this brush as a:

Flat top synthetic kabuki designed to deliver flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation.
The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned. Made of Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

(Sigma also sells the retractable kabuki with a cover for travel or throwing in your purse.)

Density:
As soon as I looked at it, I thought it looked alot of my MAC 130 brush, but much... much denser! It's packed so thick you can barely see the bottom of the brush and the bristles don't seperate easy. This makes it PERFECT for quickly applying make-up. And even better: your make-up doesn't absorb or sink into the bristles so you use less product! :D

The difference between the Sigma F80 ($16), MAC 187and the MAC 130 brush:
Both MAC brushes are duo fiber, while the Sigma is synthetic. These synthetic bristles are extremely soft; I'm impressed! The first day I got the brush, I couldn't stop touching it, as the feeling of it against your skin as amazing.

So what makes it different and why is it a good addition?

MAC 130 ($40): Over time I've come to find it rather time consuming to get even coverage over my entire face, because the MAC 130 is so small. But don't get me wrong, it's still a good brush, just not my preferred anymore. I've now stashed it away.

MAC 187 ($42): I prefer the MAC 187 to the MAC 130 for foundation because it's larger, but it does leave minor streaking compared to the Sigma F80.

These brushes aren't comparable when it comes to shape.

The only way to compare them would be by the application and results they give.
The Sigma F80 spreads out foundation evenly, giving a fully airbrushed look. Thanks to the flat, full brush you also get none of the cakey look some foundations can give. You can choose which way you want to apply your foundation: stippling or buffing in. And you waste less foundation because it doesn't get absorbed into the brush.

Shedding / Cleaning:
I haven't had any shedding problems with it, and I suppose that's also because of the synthetic bristles.

As far as cleaning goes: it's dense so it takes while to dry! I guess you could try using a blow drier from far?
And deep cleansing is required from time to time, so you avoid staining. Also,I haven't had any bleeding issues.

Other uses for this brush:
Bronzing and contouring.

If I had to recommend just ONE brush from Sigma I'd say this is it! Of course, being a make-up enthousiast, I'd recommend alot of the other ones too, but this one is their most raved about brush of the moment- and I now see why.

Also, I have to add that I truly love the fact that the brushes come with protectors. Am I alone on this? It really irks me that my expensive MAC brushes don't, and when they're drying or over time they tend to look frayed.

Frizz: we all fight it, no matter what hair type we have and with April showers upon us, we will try anything for smooth hair. Nick Arrojo, owner/founder of ARROJO studio in NYC and formerly seen on TLC's What Not To Wear, has some great tips for taming flyaways and maintaining beautiful hair no matter what the weather is doing outside.

To banish frizz, follow these simple and effective tips from Nick:

Get the right haircut: go for a strong shape that is easy to maintain on a daily basis. Any cut that is short to mid-length with a good solid shape will suit extremely frizzy (either curly, straight or grey) hair perfectly. These cuts won’t alter your hair texture, but the strong shapes will get you looking polished and pulled together, and controlling frizz will be much more manageable, making your styling quick and simple.

Style using a silicone based defrizz serum: the smoothing properties of silicone defrizz along with a moisture-based styling or curl crème to lock in curls without the dryness and without the frizz. Make sure to focus the defrizz serum towards the mid-lengths and especially the ends Frizz occurs on the oldest, and therefore most damaged part of the hair, which is of course towards the ends. Focusing your serum application in this way ensures you keep the frizz at bay.

Retro Salon Tip: This is on the of the best solutions for fighting frizz and is a bit of a throwback to old school salon tricks, but it still works better than any newfangled product I’ve seen. Pack a shower cap with leave in conditioner (a little more than you would normally use). Keep the shower cap on damp hair for 10 minutes, then remove the cap and style as you normally would – no need to rinse. This is a great way to lock-in the moisture-giving benefits of the product into the hair shaft for added support. Your hair will be richly moisturized, soft, smooth, shiny, and have more malleability, making it much easier for you to style. You can even add a little styling crème into the mix, which will give your hair added hold and texture.

It seems like Forever 21 is forever expanding the range of products they carry. Now I know, I know their quality isn't exactly the best, sometimes not even mediocre, but it's a good way to get your trend fix without breaking the bank. Alot of their items also do hold up for a few years if you take care of them (denim, shorts, jackets and jewelry are all things I've had good experiences with).

Mascara Secrets For The Best Looking Lashes Ever

Eyelashes can really add serious drama to eyes. I know alot of women would choose mascara if they could only use one item of make-up in a hurry, while others go so far as to glue false eyelashes on every day.

Here are my tips for naturally long looking lashes:

Apply your foundation and eyeshadow first. Powder and eyeshadow always end up on eyelashes, so using mascara after is always a good idea to camouflage those powder specks. Plus that powder will add thickness to lashes.
Curl lashes. I've heard ELF Cosmetics sells a decent one for $1!
Before using your mascara, be sure to wipe off the excess goop - on a tissue or the edge of the tube - and clumping. If your mascara is dry or flaky, it's time to replace it.
The "Business Card Trick": to avoid mascara from transfering onto your eyelids - and ruining your make-up - use a piece of cardboard (or an old business card) and hold it as a barrier between your lashes and upper eyelids.

Apply one coat of your favorite seperating mascara (these come with smaller wands). My recommendation: Maybelline Define A Lash ($6.74)
Immediatly comb thru lashes with an eyelash comb or spooley to seperate any clumps. This is also available at ELF Cosmetics for $1.
Apply a coat of volumizing mascara. My recommendations: L'oreal Voluminous and Maybelline Collosal. They have bigger brushes and give volume and length.
Repeat step 5.
You can also apply mascara to bottom lashes. Clinique recently came out with an amazing mascara specially designed for bottom lashes "Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara" ($10). You can also use it as a regular mascara to really seperate every lash- even those tiny ones in the corners which makes the biggest difference.
When I'm done, I like to use an eyelash comb or spooley to seperate any clumps which may have formed.

TIP for daytime and the "natural look":
1. Curl lashes.
2. Use a clear mascara. My Recommendation: Maybelline Clear Mascara $6

It may seem like a no brainer when it comes to buying jackets and clothes, but it's usually best to put some thought into it before buying an investment piece like this. For instance: do you see yourself wearing a black motorcycle jacket or a sleek modern style?

First you'll need to decide what color you prefer. If you want something that matches many outfits and will last you for years to come, it goes without saying that neutral colors are the way to go:

Brown leather jackets look more vintage and casual, which is great if you consider yourself a guy with a laid-back style. They also look good paired with jeans.
Black leather jackets can dress up business attire, but they can also lend a rugged touch to jeans or casual pants.

A Modern Twist On Officewear

As fashion and beauty enthusiasts, we're always on the look out to spruce up outfits and looks. Which is why I've started a new monthly series, featuring guest bloggers.

It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to one of my new favorite fashion bloggers Yulia Blower from Fashionwatching. Read on for some great advice from her about keeping office wear modern, by taking inspiration from the runway and be sure to check out her blog for more!

For a reason that I never quite understood the majority of people associate office appropriate attire with 'boring' and 'not in fashion.' I like to think the opposite. I honestly believe that the office gives you an opportunity to wear certain things that you wouldn't in your free, day to day time and allows you to be experimental with certain items. Blazers, blouses, wide leg trousers, straight leg trousers, dresses, pencil skirts, A line skirts, pleated skirts etc etc are all office friendly and are all commanding the spring/summer collections.

Next season will also allow for you to experiment with colours and fabrics as well as patterns, which all adds to the fun of dressing for the office. Mix thin leather shirts or blazers with silks for that modern contrast, throw out all past colour wheel rules and clash. Most importantly don't be afraid to try new things and know that office wear is not just grey wide leg trousers and a white cotton shirt. For inspiration, look to designers such as Armani, Hermes, Diane Von Furstenburg and Burberry who all modernize smart wear.

Burberry S/S 11. A cropped tailored jacket and skinny leg trouser suit with a splash of colour added by the waist belt. Lengthens the leg and emphasizes the figure. The look is smart and sexy, you'll get any deal you go for in this sort of outfit.

DVF S/S 11. Diane Von Furstenburg is famous for creating beautiful feminine silhouettes with her designs. A dress like this is simple, sexy and modern with that twist of material and the band of colour at the bottom.

Giorgio Armani S/S11. High waisted, loose pants, nipped in at the waist blazer and one of Spring/ Summers favorite colours, blue. Need I say more. Jazz it up with a few accessories and killer heels and you'll be killer in that important meeting.

Hermes S/S11. Sexy, sophisticated, feminine with a hint of importance. Wide leg trousers are very diverse and can be worn with different style tops, smart t-shirts, silk blouses and can even be worn with flats for comfort.

Check out the rest of the spring/summer catwalks and see if there is anything else that inspires your office wardrobe. I hope this helps you stay clear of the 'boring' connotation that usually comes with office wear.

What is the shelf life of your fragrance?

Here are some useful tips from Carlos Ugalde, Founder of Sasha Varon Luxe Parfums about the shelf life of your fragrances:

Most fragrances have a shelf life of 2 years but can be extended up to 5 years if kept out of the light and in a cool place. Many factors go into this....One factor is the oil to diluents (alcohol and other ingredients other than fragrance /essential oils) ratio. The more alcohol, the less concentrated and pronounced the fragrance is but the shelf life is longer.

Many people ask if refrigeration can prolong fragrance shelf life and the camps are definitely split.

Here are two views:
1: From thegloss.com : "Keep essential oil perfumes in the refrigerator to slow oxidization (but this depends on the carrier – oil or wax-based scents can go bad faster than alcohol based ones)."
2: The Fragrance Foundation. This is the premier resource for expert fragrance information. Here is what they have to say: "It's important that you keep your fragrance protected against extreme cold or heat. Only colognes and toilet waters should be stored in the refrigerator. Perfumes should not be exposed to extreme cold or heat because either may upset their delicate balance. Notes can be affected by extreme temperatures."

So, if not the refrigerator, where should you store your fragrances?

Do store fragrances in cool, dry spaces away from sunlight:

Cupboards
Dresser drawers
Dark closets

Don't store fragrances in:

Bathrooms (generally moist and warm)
Windowsills
Direct sunlight

I finally decided to cave in and ordered a few items on Hautelook . It's a members site that sell authentic designer items are really low prices (all authentic!).

The sales only last a few days so you can really grab good bargains if you check the sales regularly. Hair: Changing Your Routine From Winter To Spring

Even with blizzard conditions recently hitting the upper Mid West, there are signs of spring popping up around us. We're seeing fashions and swimwear beginning to emerge teasing us that warmer temperatures will be emerging soon. New hair style looks are another indicator that a seasonal change is in the midst.

To ensure your hair is ready for shift from winter to spring, award-winning hair stylist Joey Noufal has outlined a few recommendations to help combat winter dryness and take you into spring moisture.

1. Change your hair products. Switch to a moisturizing shampoo during winter months. Profound, Goldwell and Redken all have great moisturizing hair products. You need this added moisturizer for your hair due to the added dryness in the air...both inside and out. You will not need as much moisture once the air conditioning kicks on later in the spring or early summer.

2. Use a frizz eliminator product: A frizz eliminator is great year-round to control all over hair or specific problem areas. In the winter, this product helps reduce static too resulting from heat. For fine hair, only use on the ends as if you use too much or all over, you can result with an oily look. For thicker or curly hair, use 2-3 drops all over to smooth out and control the frizz year-round. Be sure to continue to integrate this product into warmer months for this type of hair. One great frizz eliminator product is CHI's Silk Infusion.

3. Leave conditioner in longer: When washing your hair, leave your conditioner in for 2-3 minutes for maximum winter benefits and to trap in the much needed moisture during these harsh months.

4. Special conditioning treatment at salon or at home: By applying a treatment such as Loreal's Power Dose, hair regains a natural, soft and silky feel. This treatment can be applied year-round.

5. Shed the length: Going into spring and summer, shorter styles will emerge from hibernation. Lengths around the shoulder featuring big curls featuring lots of movement and big waves will be the style of the season.

"Hair is changing really fast moving from season to season," says Joey. "From a color perspective we will see big chunks under the hair with not too many on top resulting in a more natural look yet brightening the face."

One of my new fashion addictions is a result of color combinations. You know that song “Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa? Ok well this is somewhat like that: black and gold...on my jewelry. I love, love, love how the two look together!
It kind of gives the black a surprising pop that you wouldn’t expect. It also adds a touch of class to any ensemble. Black has always been sleek and sexy while gold is classy. Put them together and what you get is perfection.

When it comes to love and loyalty, I am very old-fashioned. And I am quite down-to-earth for such an eccentric person.

"There are an awful lot of people trying to get in on Gaga’s creation myth. A mean-spirited book came out in September; an ex-lover and songwriting partner filed a $30 million lawsuit against her (later dismissed); and every bartender she ever kissed on the Lower East Side has a story. When I ask her about her life before she was discovered and signed to Interscope Records, she says, “My ride through the industry was an interesting one because people loved me but there was a very big raised eyebrow about me. I mean, a big one. So people were kind of like, well, I’m involved but not really. And as soon as I took off, it was like, I invented her, I made her, I wrote the music. When, in reality, I am completely self-invented.

How did you get started with your career and what do you love about it?
My career started in salons after graduating from hair school, and after a few years, I began working the fashion show circuit. I got introduced to industry icon Odile, and worked with her on the Haute Couture shows. I loved working in hair because I get to go to such fabulous places and meet wonderful people.

When is your specialty?
Well, I am known for my extension work. I have worked on so many celebs and models, and they all primarily get extensions.

Do you have any hair tips healthier hair/managing "difficult" hair?
I tell all of my clients to make sure their hair is clean. That is the most important tip, especially for black women. You should wash your hair at least once a week, and take care great care of your scalp to maintain optimal hair growth. You should also invest in quality tools, such as a powerful hair dryer and flat iron. In terms if hair products, I don’t think you should spend a lot of money. Wrapping your hair in a silk scarf is also a great way to protect your while you sleep.

What are your favorite haircare brands and styling products?

Tips to Winterize Your Hair & Skin‏

1. Assess Your Hair Style:
Depending on your hair type, you might need to change your hair style from your summer hair style to a more appropriate winter cut and length. If you wear bangs, they can be worn shorter in the winter compared to summer due to lack of humidity. In the winter months, the bangs as well as rest of hair will not shorten due to hair soaking up the humidity. If you have curly hair, your curls will be looser in the winter months again due to absence of humidity.

2. Change Your Hair Products:
In the summer months, you might tend to use a smoothing shampoo to control the frizz, but as you move into the winter season, you will need to switch to a moisturizing shampoo. Profound, Goldwell and Redken all have great moisturizing hair products. You need this added moisturizer for your hair due to the added dryness in the air...both inside and out.

3. Increase Facial Moisture:
In the summer, the humidity is a natural moisturizer for the body and face. As you notice in the dryer, winter months, your skin seems to soak up applied moisturizers in a higher quantity than summer. In the winter, you need to boost up the moisturizer. Lancôme has a great facial moisturizer that keeps your face supple all day long.

4. Ensure Moisturizer is Dry:
Allow at least 5 minutes after moisturizer application before applying foundation. If you are short on time, then you can blow dry your face on a low setting to quicken the process. Particularly this winter season I am seeing the growing popularity of powder bases...if you apply these on damp moisturized skin, the foundation will crack.

5. Hair Tools Might Change:
Depending on your hair type, you might be able to put the flat iron away for a few months and switch to a large barrel iron, giving the hot loose big round curl look.

6. Reduce Hair Product Quantity:
In the winter, you don't need to use as much hair gel or other products to get the same effect as in the summer. The summer humidity interferes with your top layer of your hair and this barrier is removed in the winter, allowing you to use less.

7. Time Saver When Blow Drying:
It takes less time to dry your hair in the winter compared to summer. In the summer, I recommend blow drying twice to ensure all moisture is removed. In the winter, due to eliminated humidity, you can skip the second blow through, hence saving time. Of course, rainy days are an exception. I recommend using an ION blow dryer to further save time.

8. Use More Makeup:
As with a moisturizer, your skin seems to absorb more and you cannot get away with the light, airy, summer make up look. Concentrate on adding more lip color (be sure your lips are moisturized and not cracking) and cheek color this season. MAC offers a great variety in its palette of colors.

This season’s Versace collection for men presents an optical game of shapes, proportions,colors and graphics, conducted with a knowing and contemporary nod.

This is not, however, a look that sparkles and shines. Instead the luxurious aspect of the collection – such a hallmark of the Versace brand – comes from the fine fabrics used and the expert tailoring employed.

The foundation of the collection comprises highly sartorial elements, with garments that have a new volume and are less rigid and softer than previously. Notably, the shoulder line of jackets and coats is markedly relaxed, and detailing has been simplified without betraying the Maison’s DNA.

Proportions are playfully reworked with sophistication and wit – short and long combine. Lengths of jackets are extended and waistlines are dropped.

The result is a cool, contemporary take on Versace codes. The knitwear is essential to the spirit of the collection, and the combination of textures and colours in the knits creates a modern 3D effect. This is also the result of the special processes applied to the threads. Embroidered leather coats and astrakhan necks of the coats also posses a three-dimensional aspect.

Colors include electric blue, camel, red, purple and flashes of hot pink. Suits explore a full range of grey shades.

Fabrics and textures are extremely luxurious: wool and cashmere are key.

Accessories complete the look: the shoes have a modern and pointed shape, with contemporary details, such as rubber soles, that emphasize their lines.
